PACC — Canada
Overview
Professional Assistance for Community Change (PACC)
This move is to leverage professionals who are not only accomplished in their fields but also willing to pay back to communities in their own ways. It could be a teacher who wants to teach the rural students, a seasoned corporate professional allotting some time at regular intervals to mentor identified group of tech graduates or a social entrepreneur who helps rural women to channelise their
skills to find the market value. This is an attempt to honour professionals who inspires other professionals across
different communities. Professionals in an individual capacity can also drive meaningful yet powerful change besides what the state could do to citizens. This small step can also demonstrate the most needed intervention and bridge the gap between the privileged and the poor in their awareness, access to information. Such like-minded people’s network can act as a source of inspiration or support when needed.Contribution need not be limited to one’s professional expertise. Every responsible citizen has the space to define how, why, when, and where they wish to extend their commitment to uplift and support those who deserve their attention.
